Bokeh

I had never even heard of the term bokeh - or- "the aesthetic quality of the blur" (according to Wikipedia) until I joined Flickr. There are whole groups on that site devoted to the art of capturing bokeh.

In these photos above I was trying to portray what it looks like for me to look out of my bedroom window
early in the morning , while still lying in bed (I am very nearsighted).

***Other news. I gave notice at my job. I'm quitting. Taking a break from nursing.
It was necessary. If you have been reading my blog, you may have noticed how much I've been sick in the past 6 months, and
I believe stress from work played a big role.

I will be working on textile design, and making small clothing collections.

If you are a store owner, and you may be interested my work, shoot me an email (found under my profile).

I'll be going to Seattle mid-June. To see my good friend Amber, and to continue to brainstorm about a project with her.

I'll be taking care of the house. And relaxing. And living. And trying to have a kid (TMI??) . And Blogging.

I'm excited, and scared, but mostly excited.

That sounds like an amazing plan. I really like your photos and the idea behind them. They seem fit for inspiration :) I'm near sighted too and wake up to blurriness. I've never thought how it could be eye-opening until now...xo

Congratulations! Sounds like a move in the right direction, your body and mind need to recover and your talent needs to fly! I am jealous and wish I can devout all my time to creativity - so do for me in the meantime ;^)

Love the bokeh photos, especially the last reminds me of pushing around oil paint on canvas - the feel/smell/yummy ...
