Corner View: September

The other night it finally felt like fall.
September.
It was my turn to cook...so I reached for this cookbook for inspiration. When I purchased this book, I bought it not only for the recipes, but for the incredible photography as well (also, the author Jeanne Kelley, resides in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of L.A. Very close to my neighborhood. And she raises chickens. And yes, they produced the blue eggs of the book title that are pictured above).

So I ended up making the ultimate fall comfort food: Macaroni & Cheese.
"Baked Ziti with Cauliflower & Cheese" to be precise.
It was sooo good. Even better the next day.

I purchased my copy locally from the Little Flower Candy Co. but you can also find the book here.

Go here for more September Corner Views! Welcome back corner-viewers!

IBB-
It was just my turn to cook the other night. My husband does most of the cooking :)

Cabrizette, Jane, Bonnie- Happy September!

Trinsch- yes, it was a feast. Just had some for lunch again, today!

Natsumi- they do taste a little different. Not really sweet...tangy!

Joyce- it's a really nice book. You won't regret it. The recipes for Fish Tacos (with Cilantro & Lime Coleslaw and Orange Chipotle Black Beans),Sesame Noodles, and Gazpacho are keepers!

Janis & Cheryl, Kari: Araucana Hens lay blue eggs :)

Ian: so nice to "see" you

Di & Ritva- the cover of the book is gorgeous, I promise you- the inside is just as nice. Usually I would share more photos- but I was pressed for time :)

I would just only buy that book for its cover. And let my husband do the cooking. ;)
Have a fantastic weekend, Jeannette

I'm smitten with the cover and the one or two recipes you've mentioned on your blog. I've just requested a copy from my local library. I'll take it for a test run and then I'll probably buy it. Thanks for such a nice recommendation.
