Thanks

Back from Denver. Our relative is recovering, and should hopefully be discharged today. Her outcome was looking really bad before Tomory and I went out there, but thankfully things turned around. Knock wood.
If there is one thing I learned while working as a nurse, it is that the body has a miraculous quality to heal itself - with the help of good nurses and doctors- , and to expect the unexpected.

It snowed in Denver while we were there.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the Fall colors and cooler temperatures. Today it's sunny and crisp, and a bit summery in L.A.
T & I just returned about an hour ago from a bike ride in the Arroyo. Beautiful.

Gone Again

All photographs I took of last night's sunset. Hard to believe all of this was contained in a matter of moments. Sort of what my life feels like right now. Listening to Satie being played on the radio as I compose this.
Off to Denver this week (see post below). Will return to post again here the following week. Collection hopefully up by the end of the month (literally-- an End of the Year Collection).

Bling Bling

The ERMIE Bling Print actually looks a little sparkly (in Silk Crepe de Chine) in the autumn afternoon sun.

ERMIE Garment Tag Logo designed by Katie Hanburger of The Slow Season. Hand screened by Katie herself (thanks again Katie) on organic cotton.

I plan to have a few silk scarves in the Bling Print in the shop. Hoping for a launch date around the 13th or 14th.
Yardage of the various ERMIE F/W textiles I've designed will also be in the shop in limited quantities at that time.
