The Last...

...of what I am designing for the ERMIE Fall/Winter 09-10 Collection.

Chocolate Brown Cotton-Linen Blend Dress with Constellation/Monster print in Silver & Black Ink. Seamed, slightly gathered waist. Side seam pockets with printed contrast lining. Printed contrast binding at the neckline & sleeves.

Next week I'll be knitting (I still have a Rust Slouch Cowl to finish), heat-setting, washing, mending, blocking, weaving in ends...whew...for the shop to open on Hallo
ween!

Outtakes above from my mini photo shoot. One of our trees helped me hold the camera. See more images here.

I like the triangle print. Are you stamping your prints or screening them. Curious to know about your process...

Thanks!

Angelina,
The triangle print was actually screened using an old Gocco screen that is breaking down/ filling in.
So it looks like it was stamped!
All the other prints in the collection have been printed with traditional silkscreen.
Even when I was making prints waaay back in art school, I was never interested in making perfect editions. I love the irregularities that you can get c printmaking!

I've always wanted to try the gocco kits.

Have a great weekend!

Your clothes and textile patterns are fantastic! I can't wait for your official launch! Congratulations on bringing your dreams into reality. You're quite inspiring.

(PS. I like the fringed booties you're wearing in some of the photos on Flickr... where are they from?)
