A couple of patterns from Saturday night gallery hopping. Above: A detail of a piece by Peter Young at Daniel Weinberg Gallery.
Below: I really need to start taking notes. I can't recall where this was or who this piece is by. It is also a detail of the larger painting. If anyone out there recognizes this, I'd be happy to list both the artist and the gallery.
A friend of ours was sweet enough to give us some seeds from heirloom tomatoes that she grew last year. It was about 80 degrees here today (I was inside at work for most of it) and feels like summertime. It started me thinking about how there is nothing better than a ripe tomato picked fresh from the garden, still warm from the sun, with a little salt.
I also just love how our friend wrapped these little seeds up...so cute.
Marmalade purchased from the Little Flower Candy Co., which I blogged about before.
Lennie LaGuire makes seasonal, delicious jams from organically and locally grown fruit. Haven't tried this one yet, but her Fig and Walnut conserves and Strawberry Rhubarb Meyer Lemon jams were delicious.
http://www.ellellejams.com/* I forgot to say we had lunch at Little Flower today. I had a Bahn Mi, Tomory had the Meatloaf sandwich. Then we shared a chocolate chip cookie that was still warm from the oven.
Not a low calorie meal, but Tomory and I both believe that food is meant to be enjoyed!
