Are those black string beans? Man, I really need to start my own urban garden here. Problem is, Amsterdam weather is unpredictable. If they are, can you tell me where you got the seeds from?
Sherisa, they are black string beans. I have never seen them before...I took the photo when we were on Maui--we were invited to dinner at an a local artist's house. Just doing a quick Google search--I could only find them referred to as Black Green Beans, Purple String Beans, etc. Cooking removes the purple color, and they turn green--so if you find them--eat them raw :)
