Perhaps my favorite Sgraffito in Zuoz? It is really impossible to choose--but this house reminded me so, so much of my friend Janis Anzalone and her beautiful work. Janis and I have never met in person, but one day I am confident we will. Janis' blog was one of the very first I stumbled upon when I started blogging in 2008. I still read it, and find beauty in each of her posts. If you aren't already- do yourself a favor and follow her blog.

I've never heard of sgraffito before. It's really lovely. Is it on every house like this?

Not every house...but many in the Upper Engadin region. Especially the old homes- although this home appears to be a newer structure, and the sgraffito fairly recent.
I just love how playful & colorful this particular home is.
I'll post more examples of sgraffito soon.
