Cheryl Cambras (& Richard Prince) at Royal T

Tomory and I stopped by our friend Cheryl's exhibit of woodland creatures at Royal T in Culver City. She was leading a crochet workshop, teaching people how to make teeny tiny versions of her birds (see center of 1st photograph). I loved her Fox especially that she created for the event.
The space is huge, and the cafe features rotating exhibits of well known artists, including Richard Prince. As a nurse, I have mixed feelings about nurses being sexualized...but I have to admit- I love Prince's nurse paintings!

Congratulations, Cheryl!

That fox is too cute! And I was about to say that painting looks a lot like the cover for Sonic Youth's Sonic Nurse album, but I googled it and realized it's the same artist. His work is awesome!

Kelley,
Yeah, I have my Richard Prince/Sonic Youth "Sonic Nurse" T-shirt.
It's fun to wear it to the hospital (on the weekends...when the bigwig management is gone;)when I'm working.
We don't wear scrubs (yay) where I work- so it's fun to get to wear what I want! The patients seem to get a kick out of it anyway...
Tomory keeps telling me how good the new Sonic Youth album is, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.
