This past May 5, artists Carolyn Castaño and Hadley Holliday welcomed a group of artists to Carolyn's
Solano Canyon garden. It was the first in a series of collaborative "drawing"
events for their curatorial project Garden Party.
During the sessions artists are free to interpret the idea of
plein air
by drawing, painting, taking photographs, collage,
making cuttings, or simply
hanging out for the day. The events will culminate in a catalog and
exhibition at the Fellows of Contemporary Art this September.
I took some photographs documenting the May 5th happening. Check out more of my photographs from the Cinco de Mayo event (and images from Garden Party #2) on Hadley's Blog!
Thank you Hadley and Carolyn!
