Arts District & Wurstkuche

At the invitation of the lovely Cheryl Cambras, Tomory and I joined her and her family, and a group of friends on a late afternoon outing to the Arts District- destination: Wurstkuche- a new modern beerhall-esque pub in the District. The neighborhood itself reminds me of Brooklyn...with a lot less people! It is a thriving destination at the moment- it's colorful streets and interesting buildings attracting photographers & filmmakers. Besides myself I counted 3 people walking around and snapping photos, plus one film crew.

The photos directly above and below: a huge cactus growing by the side of a warehouse...same kind as this one!

On the Wurstkuche Menu:
An extensive selection of sausages (even several vegetarian options), addictive Belgian fries, and a delicious and wide range of beers & non-alcoholic beverages. They even have bitters that you can buy to aid in digestion after you have stuffed yourself silly.
We ordered the fries with the chipotle ketchup & pesto mayo sauces, one bratwurst, bockwurst, one duck/bacon & jalapeno sausage, and one rabbit/veal/ & white wine sausage. I didn't get any good shots of the food because we were too busy eating it :)
