Wow. 200 posts. That came pretty quickly!
To mark this occasion, I'm going to give away the items pictured above : 1 yard of Nani Iro 2009 double gauze fabric, ribbon, lace, pins and thread from Sajou- to one person, randomly chosen. Just leave a comment here under this post about what you have been making lately. If you are a regular reader, then you know I have been sewing -making garments. Maybe you are drawing, painting, sculpting, designing, writing, baking...who knows? Tell me, I'm curious! You have until Midnight (Pacific Time) Sunday 7/5/09 to post. I'll draw the winner & post the results on Monday, 7/6/09.

Oh I love Nani Iro fabrics... But don't draw my name because i live a long way away!... I just wanted to tell you that this fabric is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh I love yourblog, and what you're giving away! I've been baking a lot, my rule is not to buy cookies for my family, but make them at home, our favorites are crispy oatmeal cookies. I've also been sewing, I made a Trapeze dress from Weekend Sewing, and two elephants from Last Minute Patchwork Gifts. And on the knitting front, I'm working on a diaper cover for our second baby, due Nov. 23, a Tomten jacket for my niece, and some Charlie Card mittens for my sister. As you can see, I always overload myself with projects, but it's nice to have a bunch of things done around the same time :)
ReplyDeleteBeen recalling your work of 15? years ago. Fairly sure, small etchings with cute figures long time. What I remember for certain I did enjoy it. Taking lots, Lots of photos these days. Am also enjoying your textile work, hard to fully appreciate with no tactile reference.
ReplyDeleteAs opposed to winning your raffle I would like to suggest a trade; a print of mine for an object of your making or drawing to add to my art, object collection which has grown quite large over the years. Posting a pic on "no sharp edges" http://youvebeenseesed.blogspot.com.
interested?
What beautiful things!
ReplyDeleteI've been sewing quite a bit, a short chambray a-line skirt that buttons all the way up the front with the most adorable wooden buttons. And breezy tank tops made from vintage bedsheets. Yesterday I made a washer necklace, which came out wonderfully. And I've been browsing around the DIY archives at DesignSponge, planning out some projects for my new home.
OOh please pick me, at random of course! I've been making: garments, aprons, logos, cookies, nursing pads for my new mommy friends... so much fun stuff!
ReplyDeleteI find your blog a source of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Sincerely,
Joni Sherman

ReplyDeletegorgeous stuff! i've been making cupcake lady, napoleon, and mini-trees. also, since we have a huge harvest of zucchini, we've been making everything with a dash of z!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 200th post! I noticed your lovely dresses on Flickr, and it brought me here. I would love the opportunity to receive some swoon-worthy Nani Iro - how generous! I've been selfish and sewing for myself a lot lately, and plan to continue it!

Congrats on your 200th post! I just hit 50 on my blog and can't imagine how long it will take for me even to get to 100!
ReplyDeleteI looove your blog and all of the wonderful things you've been sewing lately. I admire how you've plunged into sewing with such confidence; I have a worktable stacked with fabric and patterns but haven't gotten up the nerve to make the first cut on any of them yet. But if I'm lucky enough to win this giveaway I will be sure to put the items to use ASAP!
In the meantime I continue to work on my photographs and jewelry, both longtime passions of mine. I am hoping to start putting some of both into my Etsy shop in the next few weeks, if I can get my act together!
Oh, these are great stuff!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 200th post, Jennifer!
