Corner View: White

Breaking the Blog Moratorium temporarily to participate in Natsumi's theme for this week's Corner View: White.

I immediately think of Krzysztof Kieslowski's film of the same name from the Trois Couleurs Trilogy. Although White was probably my least favorite of the three movies, they are some my all-time favorite films.

I hardly ever wear white, as I am very sloppy. That, and I think I was traumatized by having to wear my white cotton-poly uniform in nursing school for an entire year!

  8. White makes me think of the trilogy as well - also my least favorite, though still genius. Great flower photo :)

  9. I see what you mean. When there are so many white things in the world, it's surprising that we both thought of that first.

The little guy is Giangiacomo, not my son, but he is my youngest friend.

(He's my best friend's Sandra's son...you may recall that I made that blue & white Nani Iro Dress for her...you can see it on my Flickr).

    The others are:

    the sun

trees/ valley from my front porch view

self-portrait (when I had long hair)

and Cris Burden piece at LACMA

    Yucca Blooms (again).

  19. Ah...the Kieslowski Trilogy...I loved them. And fell in love with the music of Zbigniew Preisner who composed the music for the films.
I almost never wear white for exactly the same reason...too sloppy..I would have to wear a bib all the time. ;)
