Breaking the Blog Moratorium temporarily to participate in Natsumi's theme for this week's Corner View: White.
I immediately think of Krzysztof Kieslowski's film of the same name from the Trois Couleurs Trilogy. Although White was probably my least favorite of the three movies, they are some my all-time favorite films.
I hardly ever wear white, as I am very sloppy. That, and I think I was traumatized by having to wear my white cotton-poly uniform in nursing school for an entire year!

ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me of Kieslowski's trilogy! I loved "blue", one of the most moving and heartbreaking films.

ReplyDeleteI love to wear white but I'm a sloppy one too.
So glad you broke your moratorium! That little face is precious. All the shots are lovely! (the uniform sounds awful...) Thank you, Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteWhite makes me think of the trilogy as well - also my least favorite, though still genius. Great flower photo :)
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean. When there are so many white things in the world, it's surprising that we both thought of that first.

(He's my best friend's Sandra's son...you may recall that I made that blue & white Nani Iro Dress for her...you can see it on my Flickr).
The others are:

Beautiful white photos. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI loved the one of the sun. It conveys a sense of infinite, unlimited desire. Many thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Oh yes, I like how you approached white very much.
ReplyDeleteAh...the Kieslowski Trilogy...I loved them. And fell in love with the music of Zbigniew Preisner who composed the music for the films.
ReplyDeleteI almost never wear white for exactly the same reason...too sloppy..I would have to wear a bib all the time. ;)
