I finished the Anna Maria Horner Smashing Smock today. I'm very pleased with how it turned out- especially since it's the first garment I've ever made.
Thank you for all of your lovely comments. I'm enjoying the blouse (I wore it 2 days in a row). It washed up nicely- it didn't fall apart to my amazement! I feel like "Wow! I made that!" Anna Maria Horner is a genius I think.
Now I am planning modifications to the pattern to make a dress for spring. I'll post the results on the blog.
It looks great Jen!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You did a fantastic job, and that fabric! I've loved the print since I first saw it in a Japanese sewing book.
ReplyDeleteI hope that one day I'm brave enough to try sewing up one of the projects I've had patterns for for more than a year now!
Very beautiful, the dress, and you.
